Hajime no Ippo: Portable Victorious Spirits - Image 1Some heated boxing action’s coming to the PlayStation Portable this Winter in the form of Hajime no Ippo Portable: Victorious Spirits. This portable title will feature more than 40 playable characters including the boys from the Kamogawa Gym as well as their many rivals.

Japanese website Moura has a pretty in-depth look at Hajime no Ippo Portable: Victorious Spirits. It includes a look at Takamura Mamoru, who according to the series’ creator is the best fighter in the Ippo universe pound for pound. You can also check out some screenshots of the game’s single-player mode as well as the 2-player ad-hoc mode.

Hajime no Ippo Portable: Victorious Spirits is currently slated for a Winter release in Japan. No word yet on whether or not this one makes it stateside, but fans can always go the import route.
