More helpings of EverQuest II interviews
So you’ve gushed over the Fae screenshots we’ve posted a while back. In fact, the colorful wings never failed to make your day. But are you in the dark regarding what those high-flying creatures can do? Well, you better stick with us, as MMORPG.com had an interview with four SOE devs (Akil Hooper, Design Supervisor; Ben Skelly, Mechanics Designer; Caroline Kingwell, Mechanics Designer; and, Jared Sweatt, Mechanics Designer) to answer your Fae queries and more.
First off, EverQuest II players can look forward to a movement speed and power increase in the multicolored-winged race. Also, Fae Fire will most likely make an appearance, so you better watch out for that. Meanwhile, there will be no level cap for Xegonite weapons and armor, but don’t be disappointed yet, as players can anticipate an increase of these weapons’ potential in the near future.
There’s also a Transmuting feature for the game. Basically, you break down items to their main components, to make new adornments. Cool, huh? Players can also look forward to a level 10 increase for those who are making the transition from Desert of Flames to Kingdom of Sky. Of course, the NPCs and items will be in line with the said growth as well.
Another thing to look forward to are raids in Faydark. Akil Hooper promises challenges in the said raids, so that’s something to get excited about. They also say that the achievement cap will shoot up to a 100, and 50 points can be spent on Class or Subclass achievements.
And that’s a wrap, folks. For more updates, just stay tuned here in QJ.
