More Mobile Suit Gundam: Crossfire screens and details
Will Mobile Suit Gundam: Crossfire be one of the titles worthy to get a first taste of your much-awaited yummy PS3’s? Well, we’re not in any position to answer that for you, but what we can do is give you tidbits on how the game will play out, and hopefully help you guys in making that decision.
Okay, so far we’ve given you details about the team strategy, missions, some of the game’s features, and whole lotta screens. Now it’s time to narrow it down a bit and focus on some PS3-hardware-specific info, like the SIXAXIS’ tilt control, online play, and downloadable content. According to the guys at Siliconera, Gundam on the PS3 will have everything that you would expect from a mech game, with the exception that the mobile suits will move more like robots (read: less finesse movements and a bit sluggish). But, compared to other mech games, Gundam could be considered as one with less rigid control schemes.
Now, onto the tilt control: nope, Mobile Suit Gundam: Crossfire won’t make use of this, nor will it support online play. As for downloadable content, we’re not yet sure. But what the Siliconera guys are sure about is that the game won’t support 1080p, but it does have 720p and at least it still looks better than if you play it on other consoles. Also, due to the PS3’s more spacious RAM, mobile suits will stay exactly where they are till the end of the mission. One noteworthy game feature though is that it has two language tracks; English and Japanese.
If you still weren’t able to come up with an answer to the question posed earlier, then perhaps it’s best to start reading up before the game hits the shelves on November 17. Now, here are screens to give you a quick-see of the game, perhaps they can help you decide?
