More RPGs for the PSP: Ys 7, Ys I & II Chronicles confirmed for PSP

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, oh Ys (which is actually pronounced sort of like “ease”)! Ys 7 and Ys I & II Chronicles is now confirmed for the PSP.

I already have quite a backlog of RPGs to play on the PSP, and yet there’s more coming. Last week, Nihon Falcom announced that new Ys games will be released soon, without revealing the platform(s) they’d be released on. Now, it’s been confirmed.

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, oh Ys (which is actually pronounced “ease”)! Ys 7 and Ys I & II Chronicles will be released on the PSP within the year in Japan.

Chronicles is indeed a remake of the first two games – well, to be accurate, a re-release of the 2001 remake on PC. This comes out July. Meanwhile, Ys 7, an all-new installment in the franchise following Ys: The Ark of Napishtim, will be released in September.

Considering the massive following the cult franchise has, there’s a big chance that these will eventually get a release in other regions as well.
