More Surfer Girl things: of Xbox Originals, localized remakes, MySims Racers

According to the latest post on Surfer Girl Reviews Star Wars, big titles will grace the Xbox Originals service and giant publishers such as EA and Eidos are cooking something up for next year. Shenmue - Image 1Surfer Girl is at it again with her supposed “insider” info, and this time, some noteworthy mentions caught our attention. For one, Grasshopper Manufacture‘s batch of remakes for the Nintendo DS is said to see release stateside. Another of Surfer Girl’s tips is Electronic Arts developing MySims: Racers for the Wii and DS to go head-to-head with Mario Kart. A healthy amount of titles will also appear on Xbox Originals.

Surfer Girl’s latest post says Goichi Suda’s (aka Suda51) The Silver Case, The Silver Case Ward 25, and Flower, Sun, and Rain remakes, expected to be released in Japan come 2008, will also reach the west next year. According to Suda51 from an interview back in April, he does plan to make these games available worldwide.

The earliest Grand Theft Auto games which were in 2D are also coming in downloadable form, but Surfer Girl hasn’t confirmed if they’ll be exclusives of any platform. On the other hand, more classics will hit Xbox Originals’ line-up for 2008. Jet Set Radio Future, Halo 2, Shenmue 2, and even the Grand Theft Auto 3 trifecta which includes San Andreas and Vice City will be downloadable if Surfer Girl’s words hold true.

For Nintendo’s systems, Surfer Girl is pointing at EA’s MySims: Racers. Meanwhile, Eidos “hopes you want to survive a virtual recreation of an existent earthquake” and Factor 5 of PlayStation 3 exclusive Lair‘s fame will be dishing out a downloadable online multiplayer game according to the latest set of rumors.
