More than 3400 Knight Online accounts penalized

Go stand in the corner, you naughty, naughty boy! - Image 1K2 Networks is cleaning house, and more than 3400 bug exploiters have been given the boot. Over on the official Knight Online website, the following announcement was posted:

In efforts to provide a better gaming experience to all players, your Knight Online team has penalized 3469 accounts identified in our databases to have been exploiting the recent quest bug. Players that have abused this bug received an experience point double penalty. This penalty is based on their total experience earned and how many times the bug was abused. An example of this is if a level 70 player used this bug to level to 75, that would result in the player being de-leveled to 65.

Remember that any exploitation of discovered bugs can be punishable up to account termination.

Okay, so it’s not exactly “boot time” as my caffeine-addicted downstairs neighbor defines it, but a penalty is a penalty, and it’s good to know that whoever had it coming got what he or she rightfully deserved. And, uh, knowing is half the battle! Or something.
