More Yuusha 30 screens, Hero mode explained, multiplayer coming

Yuusha 30 - Image 1Huge huge huuuge update for the bite-sized RPG that we all know: Yuusha 30. We got more info on the various gameplay modes, especially Hero mode. Then, there’s also talk of a fifth mode: chances are, that’d be multiplayer. Sweet. And the cream on top? Loads and loads of screens.

Ooh. Bite-sized RPG at its best, Yuusha 30 is offering something for all kinds of gamers. As you may know, there are four modes in the game, each one having its own gameplay type and set of objectives. If you check the official website of the game (see Via link below), you’ll see that the System page for the Hero is already available.

So what’s hero mode going to be like? It’s your standard RPG, with each mission getting 30 seconds for completion. You don’t need to read Japanese, the pictures pretty much speak for themselves:

Basically, the king sends you out on your quest. Your goal is to boost up your Hero, level him up, get him weapons, use different modes of travel, defeat the lesser minions, all the way up until you confront the big boss.

We also have another huge batch of screens below, via Siliconera. Based on the screens, we can glean more info about the specific modes:

  • Dark Lord mode: you control the Dark Lord and send out waves of enemies to wipe out the advancing armies of the wretched human race. “Get thee hence out of my sight, you puny hyooomunz! Muwahahaha!”
  • Princess mode: you control an army that’s carrying the Princess on a little cart right at the center. Your job is to order around your army to obliterate the enemies around you. “Like ew, I don’t like that monster’s face. Guards, put it out of its misery already!”
  • Mage and Knight mode: here, you control the Mage and the Knight. From what it looks like, you go through maps and try to finish off all the enemies. The catch here is that the Mage can only do long range attacks and is vulnerable to physical damage, which is where the Knight assists as some bodyguard of sorts. “Ooh, Mr. Knight, what big muscles you have!”

Interestingly enough, the System section of Yuusha 30‘s website also hints at a fifth mode – its down at the bottom with an arrow pointing at a “???”. If all our facts are in place, that should be multiplayer mode, as already confirmed by the product listing of the page in Marvelous Entertainment‘s official site. The game has support for 1 to 4 players. Sweeeet.
