Mortal Online open beta today
What do you know, it’s February already! How fast time flies, doesn’t it? We hardly even noticed it, but it’s already the time for the much-awaited open beta for Star Vault’s sandbox MMO title, Mortal Online.

Yep, it’s open today, February 1, 2010. While the close beta invited some ire from fans because it required them to pre-order the game, Star Vault seems keen to make up for it as they’ve announced that they will not be deleting any existing beta characters when the open beta starts. Therefore, all thsoe hard work of the closed beta testers will remain intact.
The other deal of goodness being thrown in is that the price of the game will be dropped by five euros (about US$ 7) while in the open beta.
Do take note of one flaw, though, as pointed out by community manager Maerlyn: possibility of server caps or slight connection issues given that the testing is based on a single server cluster in Stockholm.
Apart from that, though, it should be all good. Enjoy the open beta while it lasts. Before long, Mortal Online will be here in full.
