Motorola to release the PEBL in 4 colors

The demand for cellular companies to move away from the typical black and silver phones is becoming a popular trend for most of the larger cellular phone manufacturers.  Motorola announced yesterday that in the 2nd quarter of 2006 they will be releasing their new PEBL U6 in four “cool” colors.  The colors offered will be green, pink, teal and orange however, the phone functions will not be changing from the current model of the handset.

What makes this phone unique, aside from the colors, is its smooth oval shape with a rubberized housing and and an innovative dual-hinge mechanism which allows the device to be opened and closed with one swift motion.  The phone comes equipped with a VGA camera and MPEG4 video capture, Bluetooth, MMS, Instant Messaging, downloadable games and MP3 ringtone capabilities.
