MotorStorm 2 new details from OPM: tropical setting, monster trucks

The latest issue of the publication Official PlayStation Magazine (OPM) is sharing new information regarding the anticipated sequel to PlayStation 3 exclusive MotorStorm from developer Evolution Studio.

According to the magazine, MotorStorm 2 is going to be different from its predecessor in terms of setting. Accordingly, the upcoming ATV and rally racer video game title will be set in a lush tropical environment.

The new locations, furthermore, will also bring with them new driving hazards such as deep water, trees, and other tropical disturbances. Aside from that, there will also be vehicle additions such as monster trucks.

OPM is also saying that Evolution Studios has added a new driver intelligence that will allow players to try and avoid cartwheeling vehicles. MotorStorm 2 is currently scheduled for a tentative release in December 2008.
