Australia’s OFLC has revealed that a new iteration from the Mr. Driller franchise will be making its way to multiplatforms. Mr. Driller: Drill Till You Drop is the new title, and true to its heritage, we expect a lot of drilling involved.

The original Mr. Driller first came out in 1999 as an arcade game, from Namco Bandai. The goal is to dig deep into the earth, all the while grappling with the challenge of maintaining a sustainable level of air — or else it’s game over for you.

 

No other details were given out apart from the existence of the said title, nor were we given a time-frame for its release, but we’re pretty sure this version will be spruced up just right to suit the technology of this gen’s consoles. We’ll be keeping you up to date.
