MS: 50% of Xbox 360 owners don’t own Xbox1

After all this time, Microsoft‘s competitors in the gaming market have all been saying that the success of the Xbox 360 can be attributed to one main thing: the 24 million people who have previously bought the Xbox 1. However, MS now throws a wrench into that thread of thought by saying that, no, sorry, but “over half” of Xbox 360 owners never had an Xbox 1.

In a recent interview with Chris Satchell, he explains that they are seeking to expand their market, which is a view that Nintendo shares. “So there are lots of new people coming in, which kind of surprises you. What we’re actually finding is that our customer set is broadening, which we think is important.”

However, Satchell’s remarks are still up for scrutiny as analysts have noted yet another discrepancy in the figures which Satchell presents.
