Muzyka: BioWare intrigued by idea of developing on Wii
Just yesterday, we reported on a supposed resume of a former BioWare employee indicating that they still have one more unannounced AAA title being kept tightly under wraps. Today, we have a statement from the company expressing their interest in the Nintendo Wii. There’s no conclusive link bringing the two together, but that’s surely some food for thought if they’re bringing something “hardcore” to the Wii.

Ray Muzyka has been reported to say that “We’d be intrigued by the idea of developing on Wii but we have nothing to announce right now. We do have some unannounced projects that we’re not ready to talk about yet (guess that kinda confirms resume guy’s JD – Ed.), and they are different from some things we’ve done in the past.”
Now, I am not one to stir up a rumor, but allow me to speculate and say it’s just mighty fine timing, this reference to their unannounced projects, isn’t it? Okay, so what of the Wii game?
If we did a Wii game, I think we’d approach it with the target audience in mind first and the vision of delivering an emotionally powerful narrative and go back to our basics in terms of some of the pillars of gameplay we’d like to bring to bear — exploration, progression, customization, conflict, story, narrative, and characters. How do we adapt that to platform? That’s how we’d approach it.
