“My Last Metal Gear”

Hideo Kojima has been telling us that he wants to finally finish the Metal Gear series for ages now, but it’s never actually happened. We have Metal Gear Solid 3 and we’re getting Metal Gear Solid 4. So why should we believe him this time? Well… remember what happened at the end of the Metal Gear Solid 4 trailer at E3? Here’s what Kojima had to say to 1UP:

“Well, I say this every time but this is going to be my last Metal Gear… so you could say that the hidden theme here is that I want Snake to die so that I can move on”

Whether or not he kills his character will be interesting to see. Although that would give him a way of not going back, there’s always prequels like the upcoming Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops.
