MySims video interview: It’s a new world!

MySims for the Wii is a whole different take on the original Will Wright creation for the PC. MySims features cute and now chibi-fied sims, but the difference doesn’t stop in the looks department. As MySims executive producer Tim LeTourneau pointed out, this Wii game is a departure from the usual The Sims games that most people have grown accustomed to.

Aside from the look, gameplay is also very different. In MySims you’ll be creating your entire world using building blocks – unlike in your usual The Sims PC game wherein you buy stuff from the catalog. Aside from that, people around town could also ask you to help them build their homes or businesses – which is another departure from the PC version since it is not anymore a “lot-based, take care of the family inside a lot” type of simulation game.

Anyhow, here is the video interview that we manage to find over at GameTrailers. Click play and check it out.
