The company is starting things off with the more predictable stuff such as the classic Pac-Man IP. They’re planning to release some new in-house titles as well. According to the new iPhone team’s head honcho, Jonathan Kromrey, twitch games from the Tekken and Soulcalibur franchises may even show up on the App Store in the future.
“I would love that,” he told Kotaku in an interview. “I think twitch games would be great, it’s just the controls that are a challenge. We are thinking about that.”
The control scheme has always been one of the more hotly debated issues when it comes to iPhone gaming, so hopefully Namco Bandai can get that sorted. I just hope they don’t end up releasing something like that Dead or Alive blackjack game just to cash in.
