Namco Bandai’s Wii support: 30 titles underway!

bandai namco logoDuring a recent press conference, Namco Bandai‘s VP and Representative Director Shin Unozawa announced some stuff that their company has in store for console owners.

Unozawa revealed that they currently have ten ongoing projects for both the PS3 and Xbox360, while there are 30 (!) titles underway for the Wii. Talk about MASSIVE Wii support!

However, Unozawa didn’t give specific titles and info for these 30 titles, but gathering all the scuttlebutts going around, the company has reportedly revealed details on some of these games. Well, this we know already:

But we definitely didn’t know about these:

  • Final Furlong
  • New Digimon Project
  • Pac-Man Carnival
  • Sword of Legendia
  • Xevious for the Virtual Console

Also, C3 reports that there are three unnamed titles originally listed to be under development for Wii: an action game, a new RPG, and one mysteriously called Namco Wii Project. Aaagh! The pain of being kept in the dark! Wishful thinking though, do you guys think maybe popular Namco franchises such as Tekken, Ridge Racer, Soul Calibur, Time Crisis, or Ace Combat will also make it to the Wii? And, even more speculation, do you think they will be porting classic titles and just make them into virtual console re-releases?
