Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Heroes interview and gameplay montage

Here’s another dose of ninja action from Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Heroes. We’ve got two new videos of the upcoming PlayStation Portable title – an interview and a gameplay montage.

The gameplay montage covers some of the single player modes and the team battles. We see a chidori versus lightning blade battle with Sasuke and Kakashi going head to head with their signature moves. In the team battle, Team Guy (Rock Lee, Neji, and Tenten) dukes it out with Team Asuma (Shikamaru, Choji, and Ino). The Parameter Power-Up feature was shown where players can “level up” their character through adding points to certain abilities.

In the video interview, Namco Bandai‘s Hiroshi Matsuyama, director for Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Heroes talked about how they ported the video game from the PS2 to the PSP. He talked about the memory limitations of the PSP compared to the PS2. He also mentioned that they included a team versus team mode that wasn’t in the previous version of the game. A couple more interesting tidbits: Matsuyama revealed that there would be 22 fully playable characters. According to the director, North America can expect the title come summer of this year.

Anyway, we’ll leave you to check out the Naruto: Ultimate Ninja Heroes videos. Enjoy!
