NBA Street Homecourt PS3 Online mode good to go, video issues not yet resolved
Today we’re going to look at some issues in an Electronic Arts release. The game in question is the PS3 version of NBA Street Homecourt and the issues involved are the Online mode and some output problems with both 1080p and 1080i.
First, the Online mode. Quite a few players who bought NBA Street Homecourt found out that the Online mode for the game’s PS3 version simply didn’t work. Apparently, it had only been brought to the attention of EA’s tech support when the game launched in stores and has now been fixed.
A moderator at the EA Sports forums, brainpowered35, said that specifics haven’t been pinpointed yet, but EA believes that “somewhere in the migration process, a server switch was missed.”
On to the video output problem. A few players have complained that the game won’t run in 1080p and 1080i. As of now, there has still been no word from EA regarding this issue. Ashbong, the same guy who brought this to our attention, says that the problem may lie in the game’s programming itself. He’s already exchanged his copy of the game for another and the problem still persists.
