NCsoft announces CoH, CoV server downtime to accommodate game update

Sometimes, one must patiently endure a little inconvenience for the sake of something good.

Case in point: NCsoft has announced that the City of Heroes servers will be experiencing some downtime later on. Catch the nitty-gritty stuff in the full article after the jump.

It looks like City of Heroes and City of Villains players will have to take a breather from the super heroics and the super villainy – at least for a short time.

The reason? NCsoft has recently announced that the game’s servers will experience downtime later today for the purpose of a game update. Here are the details, according to NCsoft:

The server downtime will start at 6 a.m. Pacific Standard Time (or at 9 a.m. Eastern Standard Time ).

During the downtime, NCsoft will update the game to version 16.20080122.9T3, which is currently in testing on the Training Room Test Server. NCsoft anticipates that it will last for up to two hours.
