NCsoft To Develop “Soccer Fury”

NCsoft Europe has announced its initial European project, entitled SoccerFury. The game is being developed in partnership with Digital Legends Entertainment, and will be one of several MMORPG’s that will comprise the company’s gaming hub at PlayNC.com.

SoccerFury will feature teams of three squaring off in battles that combine street soccer and martial arts in a post-apocalyptic urban setting. According to the press release, there are “no rules…no limits…no mercy.” And the only prize is to be the last one standing.

According to Xavier C. Costa, CEO of DLE, SoccerFury will be “…a key element of PlayNC’s online games portfolio; integrating soccer, fighting and character evolution to appeal to a large audience.” Thomas Bidaux, NCsoft’s European product director adds, “We’re delighted to be working so closely with such a strong, focused team. NCsoft is hand picking only the finest games for the launch of PlayNC as a games portal and Soccer FuryTM more than meets the standards we’re setting.”
