Need More Sound Out of Your PSP? Try This Speaker Mod!
PSPon has taken a pair of $20.00 Wal-Mart speakers and modified them to get a little more sound from his PSP. Here is what he had to say:
I thought the sound on the PSP was a little weak, so I decided to upgrade with some crisp sound. The speakers were pretty weak. Check out the pics, I’m uploading a video to google video now as I write.
I found these speakers at wall-mart for $20.00 and I took one and put a CB speaker at the end of it. For amplified sound I took a 9-volt battery for the back (which happens to be 9-volts). The sound is pretty crispy.
You can also plug it into a tape-recorder for recording tons of sound from neighbours blocks down, just don’t talk in front of it… OUCH!. You crank the sound on the Dial it goes loud on the speaker, if you turn it up from the PSP it will go loud too. You may make a couple friends if you brought this to school. The pics are taken with a crappy web cam, but they’ll give you the general idea.
