SNK Playmore has just circulated a press release to announce that NeoGeo video game titles will finally be debuting on Nintendo Wii’s Virtual Console this September. However, we have to remind you even this early that this excellent development is also accompanied by some bad news.

Let’s continue with the good news first: according to SNK, the first batch will include three well-loved titles namely Fatal Fury, World Heroes, and Magician Lord. Among these, Fatal Fury is first to arrive on September 11. To those not familiar with it, it is actually a fighting game and is the second oldest fighting game from SNK.

The bad news is that the release is only for the Japanese VC and there was no mention if the same will be implemented in other markets. But knowing Nintendo and all the success the Wii us currently enjoying, it’s highly improbable that NeoGeo games wouldn’t ship outside Japan.

All three titles will be priced for 900 Wii Points each or roughly around US$ 12.
