NetDevil to make MMO for a “major toy company”

NetDevilIt sometimes pays to browse through developers official sites. Why? Well, let’s just say they are full of raw information waiting to be mixed and cooked to perfection. It’s like a jigsaw puzzle, when you really think about it. Everything is in there scattered. All you have to do is pick them up, place them where they belong and you will be sure to see the bigger picture.

Take the case of developer NetDevil for example. Currently under their belt are two successful MMO titles namely Jumpgate and Auto Assault. Now, the employment section of NetDevil’s official site reveals that they are currently looking to fill these positions:

  • 3D Character Animator
  • UI Artist
  • Lead Designer – UI
  • Senior Designer – Toolset
  • AI Programmer
  • Gameplay Programmer
  • Lead Construction Programmer

Well, that list certainly spells like a new project to us. True enough, gaming site Kotaku mentioned that they have spoken with NetDevil. The developer, furthermore, confirmed that they just entered a contract involving a massively multiplayer online game for a “major toy company.”

Also, NetDevil mentioned that the new game would involve an “in-game crafting and designing for use both internally and by the general public.” Wow, whatever that project is, we’re pretty sure it is going to kick some MMO butt. A game that allows players to make in-game content will definitely be accepted well by the community. We will update you whenever more details come up.
