Neverwinter Nights 2: Forgotten Realms screens and info
Just in case this has escaped your memory (or you’ve forgotten about it, pun intended), Neverwinter Nights was the first graphical RPG, which ran from 1991 to 1997 on AOL, and is based on the massively popular Dungeons and Dragons and Forgotten Realms rules (albeit with a few tweaks here and there). And with the announcement of Neverwinter Nights 2, you can expect all the action-packed adventures (and even more) that you enjoyed with the game’s prequel.
NWN 2 starts with the Realms slowly starting to heal the wounds that the Luskan-Neverwinter war has caused, but this sand-settling peace will soon come to an end as tension grows between the city-states and dark forces from across the Realms threaten to conquer the tranquil land. Here’s where our hero comes in, who has in his hands a mysterious and powerful relic that will serve as the key to unlock the dark secrets that the Realms has held bound within its vast lands for so long. Can’t get any more epic than that, right?

But aside from the eye-widening, gasp-inducing game storyline, NWN 2 will also have tons of other features to look forward to, like the improved party controls, new spells, feats, and prestige classes based on DDO 3.5 rules. You’ll also get to hang out and chill with the characters from the Neverwinter Nights series. Imagine all this brought to you with a bumped up graphics system and an overland map, and you’ve got one helluva good RPG that’ll surely be making its way to your PC’s soon.
