Neverwinter Nights 2 hits shelves!

Atari and Obsidian Entertainment have just announced today that Neverwinter Nights 2: Forgotten Realms has shipped to retail stores nationwide.

As mentioned in our earlier articles, NWN2 is based on the Dungeons & Dragons Forgotten Realms universe which was created by Wizards of the Coast, a subsidiary of Hasbro, Inc. Now, you’ll get to take on the role of the chosen one to bring peace once again to the Realms. Along with highly interactive environments, you’ll also get to customize and create your own quests and universes with a new toolset — thus altering your overall gameplay and how you go through the storyline. Rated T by the ESRB and developed by Obsidian Entertainment, Neverwinter Nights 2 will be sold for a SRP of US$49.95.

Oh shoot, we almost forgot, the game’s limited edition has also shipped, and included in it is a new feat called “Blessed of Waukeen” which will give users two special items, a bonus to all saving throws, a magical golden aura, and access to a unique weapon. Also included are a cloth map that shows in-game locations, an art book of characters and scenes from the game, and two silver antique rings (Good & Evil). The limited edition NWN2 will sell for US$59.95.
