Neverwinter Nights 2’s Patch v1.02.809 is here
If you own a copy of Atari‘s Neverwinter Nights 2, you may have noticed at least a couple of buggy places here and there. If you’re one of the unlucky types, then you might have more bugs and problems than the normal user. Their latest patch should make things a little bit smoother till they can fully get everything bug-free with a 1.1 or 1.2 all-purpose bug-destroying patch for people to use.
Patch 1.02.809 is a hotfix patch, notes Darren Monahan, executive producer at Obsidian Entertainment. As he tells NWN fans on their forums, this hotfix takes care of “the issue with companions wreaking some havoc on cutscenes and scripted events. This also includes updated multiplayer applications to the same version.” One good thing is that the patch is supposed to resolve a problem that gave trouble for gamers who wanted to run the game on Athlon XP-based units.
One thing we can’t wait for though, is the 1.03, which is supposed to have a bunch of fixes for the numerous bugs. Anything to speed up gameplay, please!
If you want to grab the patch, just run an update from your game, and that should download and install it for you. Enjoy!
