New art and screenshots for It’s A Wonderful World
And here we go with a new batch of screenshots and artwork for Square Enix‘s new RPG for DS, It’s A Wonderful World.
Don’t let the title fool you though, as our hero Neku’s life isn’t quite all peachy as he is given seven days to live and must then turn the tide against Death himself. In the course of all this event, he meets the girl Tsuki and both are now forced to play their parts in a mysterious game. Set in Tokyo’s Shibuya district, which is a popular shopping area, the characters in It’s A Wonderful Life are also strangely reminiscent of Kingdom Hearts‘ Sora and Kairi, another pair of Square Enix characters.
The game’s combat system consists of using both screens of your DS with Tsuki at the top screen and Neku in the lower half, where the player can move him with the stylus. His current known abilities include lightning, fire, and healing spells, as well as the ability to move objects. Tsuki can then be moved using the D-pad and when done in combination with Neku, techniques and combos are unleashed.
Though a release date for this game is yet to be announced, many a Square Enix fan is already itching to get this game.
