New dances and appearance changes coming to World of Warcraft?

New dances and appearance changes coming to World of Warcraft ? - Image 1It’s common knowledge that once you roll a character in World of Warcraft, there is no way to change its face in the future. In addition to this, your race pretty much defines how you dance, limiting you to the same set of movements throughout your character’s career.

This may be changing in the future as Blizzard apparently plans to give players a chance to make cosmetic changes to their characters as well as give more options when the need to “bust-a-groove” comes along. Blizzard Poster Bornakk discussed this in the WoW Forums recently:

The idea is that hair is something that makes sense to be changeable in the game and the cosmetic alteration can make a very positive impact for some players so we want to make this available to everybody.

By making the hair styles change, it does vary by race what this does to the character, but we also have no plans at this time to exclude people from using a cosmetic feature like this. We are also looking into extending this to cover facial hair features as well, but this has not been finalized at this time.

We are also providing players the opportunity to learn new/different dances with the dance studio. Even if your character is scowling, this is another cosmetic change that can give your character a real positive attitude and people have shown great enthusiasm for.

Plastic surgeons to change a characterÂ’s physical facial features just haven’t been be found in the Twisting NetherÂ…

That’s pretty good news for players who have gotten tired of their avatars’ current appearance. Be advised though that this is still under discussion at Blizzard so there is a chance we won’t be getting this feature for sometime. Still, the QJ.net WoW team is hoping for sooner rather than later.
