Star Wars: The Force Unleashed - Image 1Promising to reinvent the way people think about the Jedi (and the Star Wars continuity in general) comes Star Wars: The Force Unleashed for the Sony PlayStation 3, Sony PlayStation 2, Sony PlayStation Portable, Microsoft Xbox 360 and Nintendo DS. We get filled in on more info about just what we’ll be doing during our stint as Darth Vader‘s secret apprentice, through this massive update that comes direct from the game’s official website.

So, we’ve got the lightsaber, we’ve got the cool yak-killing mind-bullet powers, what do we do with them? Plenty. From the website, we find out that we’ll be sent on a mission to an abandoned TIE Fighter construction facility to take care of a rebel Jedi general by the name of Master Kota. Then, there’s the requisite romp through Kashyyyk, where Vader unleashes a massive attack that serves as one of the game’s more pivotal segments.

Presumably after that, we’ll be going on a search for Shaak Ti in the planet Felucia, as well as a manhunt for a reclusive Jedi droid-maker in the interstellar dumping planet of Raxus Prime.

The website also has more info about Proxy, the droid companion that every Jedi hero (or anti-hero, in the Apprentice’s case) needs to have. Apparently, Proxy is a one-of-a-kind droid that’s capable of assuming anyone’s identity at will, an ability that the developers explain as the usage of advanced hologram technology. Cool beans, I say.

While it certainly sounds like we’ll be Vader’s messenger of death guy, please note that this list is far from complete, so we may be seeing other kinds of game segments as the people behind the game gives us more info to sink our teeth into. In the meantime, you can check out the site itself via the source link below.
