New artwork for Opera Vectra in Star Ocean: The Second Evolution for PSP - Image 1We’ve been keeping close tabs on Square Enix‘s upcoming remake of the well loved Star Ocean series and found a couple of new updates on the official Japanese website for Star Ocean: The Second Evolution.

After covering the previous screenshots which revealed two of the game’s playable characters, it seems that Square Enix has finally decided to add Opera Vectra and Ernest Raviede on the official website’s character section.

Aside from the new look of the characters featured on the site, some new stuff were also added to the world, elements, and battle system sections. Also included are some revamped images from the original game describing all the new content.

While the site is mostly in Japanese, fans who’ve played Star Ocean: The Second Story on the PSone should already be more than familiar with the information revealed on the website.

Still, it’s nice to get an idea what the new remake will look like before it rolls out this April 2 in Japan. Gamers in North America will have to wait a little longer whether Square Enix decides to make a local version of Star Ocean: The Second Evolution or not, since there’s been no word on it so far.

In the meantime, we’ll be sure to keep our eyes out for any new updates, so keep coming back to this space for more information.
