Codemasters‘s Turning Point: Fall of Liberty (Games for Windows, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360) may be yet another WWII-era shooter, but that’s where it breaks similarities with the recycled concept. Planting its roots in an alternative world, Fall of Liberty takes players through a besieged New York City in an effort to regain freedom lost.

New screenshots surfaced just a few days ago on GameSpy, and these seven have been added to the game’s current media assets. Though these screens may remind you much of Red Alert 2‘s Soviet invasion of the Big Apple, the game also borrows the ‘fight for liberation’ concept from Eidos Interactive’s Freedom Fighters – a good game in its own right.

Codemasters hopes to see this Unreal Engine 3 game hit your favorite gaming platform by next year, after announcing that it will be delayed until the first quarter of 2008. We’ll just have to see how it’ll turn out once it hits the shelves.
