New Famitsu scans: Blue Dragon, Lost Planet and Super Robot Wars XO

In the latest issue of the Japanese gaming bible, Famitsu, it seems that the staff has decided to go on a small Xbox 360 fest as they featured some upcoming 360 titles on their revered and glossy pages. And so as posted by neo2046 over at the NeoGaf forums, we have here some nice features on Blue Dragon, Lost Planet as well as the newest member of the SRW franchise, Super Robot Wars XO.

The four-page feature on Blue Dragon includes short character profiles of our cast, which includes our hero Shu and his Dragon, the intellectual-looking Jiro and his Minotaurus, the girl Crook and her Phoenix, the pirate-lady Zora and her Killler Bat, and our little guy in the cape MaruMaro with his Saber Tiger. The article goes on to discuss game mechanics, combat, the field, the concept of detection as well as the new element known as the Encounter Circle. There are also small sections dedicated to the Blue Dragon Xbox bundle, as well as the Blue Dragon soundtrack which has been penned by no other than Nobuo Uematsu. The game will be released in Japan on December 7 for ¥ 7140 (US$ 61).

The Lost Planet scans currently only feature a couple of Vital Suit (VS) models found in the game as well as some creatures, and short profiles on the lead characters Yuri, Rick and Luca. Sadly, there isn’t much in here since it’s only a two-page spread. The article also lets us know that the game’s Japanese release will be on December 22, and that the game will be sold for Â¥ 8379 (US$ 71).

Now here comes one title that we know a lot of mecha fans have been looking forward to. Enter, Super Robot Wars XO! Otherwise known as Super Robo Taisen XO in its native Japan, this newest member of the long-standing SRW series will make its debut on the Xbox 360 on November 30 and will sell for 7329, or about US$ 63. The scans feature images of our favorite mechas in SD form, as well as a step-by-step explanation of the gameplay, from outfitting your mech, acquainting yourself with the field, to getting that victory against another mech. *starts singing the Daimos theme song*
