New Fatal Inertia screenshots
Japanese gamers will get their mitts on the PS3 today. This makes us more than a bit envious, so we’re just going to look at some pretty pictures. Well, not just any pretty pictures, because these are screenshots of Fatal Inertia, which has shaped up to be one hell of a slick-looking game.
Okay, time for some background. Koei‘s Fatal Inertia lets players take control of a finely-tuned highly destructive racing machine, letting them smash, blast, and bomb their way to victory. Set to run on the Unreal 3 Physics Engine, Fatal Inertia promises hours of intense racing mayhem.
Now we move on to the screenshots. Of course, since this is a racing game the stars are definitely the vehicles, and Koei definitely does not disappoint in that aspect. As for the environment, it seems kind of a waste to destroy all those beautiful landscapes that the game’s developers created for it (yep, you can destroy environments in the game).
Haha, just kidding. The more beautiful and well-rendered the landscape, the better it’ll look when you drop a cluster bomb on it and cause your opponents to crash.
Fatal Inertia will hit stores on November 17, so check out the screenshots below in the meantime and enjoy. For those who prefer moving pictures, click here for the TGS 2006 trailer.
