New Final Fantasy trailer and gameplay videos
Some sweet-looking retro gameplay headed your way with this latest batch of Square Enix‘s Final Fantasy I for the PSP videos, as well as the trailer for the first game in the legendary series that pretty much defined what an RPG is supposed to be.
Remakes have always been a dodgy business, moreso when it comes to games. While the best intentions of delivering a next-gen experience to a previous-gen title can always be appreciated, it always comes down to a precarious hit-and-miss process when developers decide to add something new to the original material.
That aside, Final Fantasy I looks like it’s sticking true to its roots, retaining the same graphics and animations of its first incarnation – and very nicely, if I might add. The trailer still sends chills down my spine, even after all this time.
An epic adventure that started it all – and it’s portable, too. Enjoy the videos.
