New Geometry Wars: Galaxies screens
Once intended only to be a mini-game in PGR2, Geometry Wars has now come to age and is getting its own game. If you think the title sounds like something your math teacher made up to make her class sound interesting, you’re probably right, but the good news is that the game is more fun than ever and it’s headed for release very soon.
The gameplay is quite simple: You pilot a claw-shaped craft which fires in different directions across the grid. The main objective is to survive as long as you can and rack up the points. The longer you stay in the game, the more you can score.
These screenshots are from the Wii version called Geometry Wars: Galaxies and though they may not look like a lot to behold, the game actually has its old-school charm that can endear it to you with fun and addictive mechanics. The Wii iteration even has a campaign mode to spice everything up.
