New info and screens for Ridge Racer 7

We have here fresh details on the multiplayer race modes for Namco Bandai‘s Ridge Racer 7. Published in Famitsu, we not only have the infos, but a whole lot of screenshots as well! And they’re all looking groovy.

But first things first. This is but a measly translation of what we found from our German source. And the images are in Japanese, so we do ask for your pardon if it falls short in accuracy at any point. Anyhow, the search function displays the current races in which you can participate in. Tournaments are also included. The first image above shows a ‘Room’. The second image above shows the general defaults for racing, such as the number of players participating (maximum is 14), which car you’d want to use, etc. The third figure above is for the refinement specs before you start the race. Nitros are permitted, for example.

There’s also a Chat Room where you can talk online with other players, no matter where they may be in the world. Talk about crossing continents, eh? But what about the language barriers, like the one we often experience here? No worries about that, ’cause there’s an automatic translator on board. We just hope that it’s gonna be accurate. You sure wouldn’t want to unwittingly say something when you mean another, right?

Ridge Racer 7 is ready to head out to Japanese shores in a matter of days: November 11th, in fact. So, are you ready?
