Fans of history-inspired games will find Jeanne D’Arc a compelling game for the PSP. SCEI and Level 5, the same guys who worked on Dark Cloud, presented the title as a strategy game in 3D turn-based RPG play. It’s something akin to using the character’s unique powers and game rules to find out how you’re going to create defensive and offensive strategies.
Jeanne D’ Arc’s plot begins from a time in history when gods attempted to use their demon armies to enter the human world but were stopped by five heroes. Jump forward several centuries later, during the 100 Years War of France and England, and we see Jeanne D’ Arc (Joan of Arc) being attacked by a demon at a festival. She hears voices in her head that tells her she should take up the legacy and emblem of the five heroes. The real adventure begins when Jeanne D’ Arc seeks the help of her friends Lian and Roger. Together, they battle to lead France into victory against the enemies.
