New mandatory Xbox 360 system update now live
Heads up, Xbox 360 fans. A new mandatory system update for your Microsoft console has just gone live. It’s not the new Xbox experience Microsoft’s been harping about just yet, but it does pave the way for the much-awaited Fall dashboard update. More in the full article.
Major Nelson has announced that a new system update for the Microsoft Xbox 360 home video game console has been released. This is a mandatory update, so those logging in over the next few hours will no doubt encounter it.
According to the Major’s announcement, the update doesn’t contain any new features or dashboard enhancements. Instead, it “contains code to ‘prepare for future growth of the service.Â’” The new Xbox experience update, the one that has all the bells and whistles, will arrive in the Fall.
Anyway, that’s it. Log on to Xbox Live to get your console up-to-date. Keep checking back here on the QJ.NET Xbox 360 blog for more news.
