New MC360 Beta 0.98657 Now Available

mc360Team Blackbolt has decided to release MC360 Beta 0.98657 for “those folks who want the very latest of everything.” For newbies to the Xbox 360 homebrew scene, MC360 or Media Center 360 is a skin UI for Xbox Media Center (XBMC). It’s a free media application for the Xbox created purely for fun and is in no way connected to or endorsed by Microsoft.

MC360 Beta 0.98657 is the latest from the MC360 development tree. (You can check previous versions to add to your knowledge here.) It is a work in progress so don’t expect it to be bug-free. Apart from bug fixes and other stuff, this update features the new Login Screens for the profiles. There are also new buttons on the Shutdown blade which can be accessed by pressing the Right Thumbstick in (much like PM3). If you want a complete list of the changelog since the last version (released back in July), you can see all of them in the readme file.

To install this app, copy the MC360 folder that is found in the zip file to your XBMC/skin/directory (depending on where you installed it to). Boot up Xbox Media Center and go to the Appearance Options. Choose the MC360 skin and leave it for a second, XBMC will reload with the new skin activated. Now you can select from the Custom Themes using the Theme chooser.

NOTE: MC360 will not run on correctly on old XBMC builds and the Team recommends the Latest T3CH release.
