New mini games for Harvest Moon Heroes
Today we’ve got more info about Harvest Moon Heroes, the first Wii outing of the Harvest Moon series. According to IGN, Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu has revealed that apart from using the Wiimote to do all of the farming activities in the game, players will also use the Wiimote in two mini games.
The first is fishing, where players raise the Wiimote up and down to send their lines into the water. When players get a bite, a press of the A button will reel the fish in.
The other mini game is horseback riding. During the horseback riding sequences, players can adjust their speed by shaking the Wiimote. Think of it as a next gen version of the old “mash the A button as fast as you can to run faster than the other guy” gameplay found in quite a few old school games.
Marvelous Interactive‘s Harvest Moon Heroes (Bokujou Monogatari Yasuragi no Ki in Japan) is set for a June 6 release in Japan and carries a slightly-higher-than-usual price of 6,800 yen (US$ 57).
