German developer Spellbound has revealed Ravensdale, a new fantasy action game in development for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360. Its the usual fantasy game with orcs and such, only the orcs here are lugging around steam-powered gatling guns.
The game’s steam-powered setting gives players access to some cool (maybe “hot” is the better term?) and “outrageously over-powered gadgetry”. Of course, these come at a price. Players will have to look for high-pressure steam outlets to supercharge their equipment. You can check out some concept art below.
“Our products have always been and continue to be exemplary in the domain of creativity, aesthetic quality and art style,” Andreas Speer, CEO at Spellbound Entertainment AG, said. “Our ‘steam powered’ approach brings a completely refreshing and surprising value to the fantasy action genre. We are very excited about our new project and delighted by the strong interest that it is attracting.”
Spellbound has set a 2012 target release date for Ravensdale. The game will be available on PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
