While his name may be different, the mission that he’s called upon to do may sound quite familiar to many. Summoned at the behest of the Norse gods, Skarin must battle his way through mythical creatures and a horde of baddies to defeat the goddess Hel.
If you’ve watched the trailer, you’ll be pleased to know that Viking: Battle for Asgard adds a new dimension to the typical hack and slash games that were previously released. Asides from the usual blood, gore and dismemberment, you’ll also get to feel what it’s like to be at the head of an army of fellow Vikings – something like a first person perspective of the Total War series of games from the developers.
Judging from the screenshots below, the developers from Creative Assembly didn’t skimp on any of the visuals for the game. In any case, we have to say that we can’t wait to see how this Viking adventure plays out when it’s released this coming Spring for the PS3 and the Xbox 360. In the meantime, enjoy the screenshots!
