New Nintendo DS Lite Generates Godzilla-Magnitude Frenzy
It was a One-Two Punch that rocked Japanese stores! The launch of the new white Nintendo DS Lite, followed by the blue version several days later, were greeted by thousands of consumers who wanted to get their hands on either one.
The DS Lite, smaller and lighter than the original 2004 DS System, looks remarkably like the iPod. Just like the iPod, it sports the double layered plastic (not the metallic paint that fooled nobody anyway on the original DS). But the beauty of the DS Lite is beyond skin deep. The clearness and brightness of its screen outshines even the PSP’s display.
Nintendo has not announced a U.S. release date for the DS Lite but it could be as early as May.
