New No More Heroes scans and details
Famitsu scans have always been a treasure trove of information and screenshots – if only there was some sort of way we could have all those blocks of Japanese script translated into a language the rest of the world can understand. Thankfully, a kind soul has done just that with this scan update of Suda51’s latest title for the Nintendo Wii, Marvelous Interactive’s No More Heroes, and the details we’re given are looking pretty sweet (almost as sweet as the eye candy).
In this scan update, we find out about a new character in the game, namely Master Thunder. Don’t let the over-the-top name fool you – as if “Travis Touchdown” wasn’t enough – he’s actually the main character’s mentor, and the source of new beam katana techniques and wrestling moves for our hero. There’s also a bit about how the player can improve Travis’ stamina and power by training under Master Thunder.
Two locations are also revealed – Area 51 and Beef Head. Area 51’s pretty much the customization feature of the game, a shop that lets you buy masks and shirts for Travis. Here’s hoping he sells a Darth Vader mask – no offense to Travis’ looks, but a game where you can wield a beam katana should definitely pay homage to the famous space opera. Beef Head, on the other hand, sells you videos – the purpose of which is unknown at this time.
Well, in any case, that’s a lot of info – and so far, things are looking just as twisted and as freaky as Suda 51‘s critically-acclaimed on-rails shooter, Killer 7. Updates as we get them, so enjoy the scans!
