New Opoona gameplay video

For those of us keeping tabs with Koei‘s latest RPG for the Nintendo Wii, Opoona, here’s a brand-spanking new gameplay video. We get you a closer look at one of Koei’s more original titles, with a visual style that’s certainly unique.

In this video, we see Opoona interacting with the many characters in his world, as well as giving a few flying critters the what-for with that fruit-like object hovering about his head. It’s to note that the graphics here are very easy on the eyes, very smooth and pleasant-looking. The colors, while vibrant, don’t stand out that much, and Opoona himself is just too cute not to draw everyone’s us upon him.

Opoona for the Nintendo Wii will be bouncing onto store shelves on September 27 in Japan. No word yet about a U.S. release, but we have our fingers crossed. Updates as we get them, and in the meantime, enjoy the video!
