New patch out for European Modern Warfare 2 PS3
Infinity Ward has released a PS3 version of the Modern Warfare 2 PC patch they released last week. This one’s for the game’s European version only, but it seems PS3 owners in the US as well as Xbox 360 players will also get it in the future.
Infinity Ward has released a new patch for the PS3 version of Modern Warfare 2. This one’s for the game’s European version only, however.
- Care Package, Emergency Airdrop, and Sentry Gun marker grenades sprint speed normalized.
- Fix for “infinite care package” exploit.
- Sentry Guns: Improved placement detection, preventing cases of Sentry Guns inside geometry.
- Model 1887: Bling using Akimbo and FMJ combination now has same range and damage as non-Bling Model 1887s.
- Improved player collision removing cases of getting into geometry and ‘elevators’.
- Fixes to prevent various XP hacks.
IW’s Robert “fourzerotwo” Bowling says that the patch “has not yet went [sic] live for US-Players on PS3 nor has it went [sic] live on Xbox 360 yet”, which hints that those versions will be available in the future. The PC version of this patch was released last week.
Bowling also noted that IW is aware of players experiencing freezes once they connect to games and that the company is working with Sony to isolate the issue’s cause.
