New PS3 RPG in the making: Record of Agarest War
Through 1Up, we just got word that Famitsu has news of a new RPG coming to PS3. Called Record of Agarest War, the game is a collaborative effort from Idea Factory, Red Entertainment, and Compile Heart.
According to the 1Up report, the game actually spans five generations, with new heroes replacing the previous ones with each new generation. Furthermore, the game will take place across five continents, with players venturing through the continents in each generation. Also, the next hero you’ll get in succeeding generations will depend on the heroine you partner up with (and possibly marry) in each generation.
With regard to the Battle system, 1Up reports that battles will take place on battle points, with the turn-based gameplay using a standard grid system.
In any case, expect this game to come sooner than you’re prepared for, as it’s scheduled to hit store shelves in Japan on September 27.
