Hmm... A tall tower of muscle faced against a skinny PSP fanboy. That's probably an accident waiting to happen. Nonetheless, Strahan is positive about being the PSP's new endorser. To quote the football athlete:
I love playing my PSP and getting to work with these guys for the advertising campaign has been a lot of fun. With my busy travel schedule during the season, the new PSP is a perfect companion for long road trips and allows me to play against my teammates in online matches when we are together or even across the country.
SCEA's Senior VP of marketing, Peter Dille, is also optimistic of the new direction they're taking their ads. He says that featuring Michael Strahan in their new line of TV spots "conveys the message that PSP is one of the most aspirational entertainment devices out there." He continues by explaining how celebrities and athletes are always on the road and would most likely have brought their PSPs along with them.
The new ads are to be aired across different networks on TV come December and straight through to January, during commercial breaks in shows like SNL, South Park, NBA, TRL, Adult Swim, among others.
