New Record For “Eve Online” – And a Collectible Card Game Too
Today, it has been announced that the science-fiction themed MMORPG Eve Online has reached a new record, as Tranquility base is now home to over 130,000 “capsuleers.”

CCP Games, publisher of EO, has announced the impending release of the much anticipated collectible card game, EVE: The Second Genesis™ Core Set. The two Megapacks include a Core Starter Kit and a full Core Set Booster Display Box, for a total of 471 cards. Pre-orders are being taken now, and CCP Games estimates that the game will ship around the end of July. It won’t be reaching retail stores, however, until later this fall.
Eve Online is set in a distant future in which humans, having colonized the planets of a faraway star cluster, have been cut off from the home planet – memories of which have now retreated into vague legends. Five remaining colonies have survived, and have lived in an uneasy peace so far.
